The challenge

Security researchers face the constant challenge of evaluating the risk and reputation of domains as part of their threat assessment workflows. Without a centralized tool to quickly analyze domain health, researchers often struggle to make informed decisions and track internal company exposure to potentially malicious sites.

The solution

Dossey is a comprehensive domain risk assessment platform designed specifically for security researchers. By aggregating a variety of data sources, Dossey provides users with a risk scoring system and detailed domain health reports to help them quickly identify potentially harmful domains.

As the lead UX designer on the Dossey project, I was responsible for the entire user-centered design process, from initial user research to final product delivery.

User Research

I conducted in-depth interviews with security researchers to deeply understand their pain points, workflows, and expectations around domain risk analysis tools. This research informed the development of user personas and key user scenarios.

Information Architecture & Wireframing

Based on the user research insights, I crafted a intuitive information architecture that allowed security researchers to efficiently navigate Dossey's domain risk assessment features. I then produced low-fidelity wireframes to validate the proposed user flows and interactions.

Prototyping & Usability Testing

I translated the wireframes into high-fidelity interactive prototypes, which were then put through rigorous usability testing. This process helped identify areas for refinement and ensured the final design aligned with user needs.
